[There is a Paul C. Van Vickle, b. 1902, listed
in the VWstrays section under Van Vickle, whose
biological father was Charles Van Vickle and biological mother was Ethel
Skinner. Paul is in the home of grandparents in the 1910 US Census. This Charles
Van Vickle fits the anecdotal information in some ways (living in Vermilion
County, having several brothers, being old enough] but doesn't match the
anecdotal information that he lived for a time in Minnesota.) Here is a
link to the other Charles Van Vickle who appears a
viable candidate to be the father of Paul.]

13 March 2001 email from Kathy Velasquez provided the photo of Evert^8 Van Vickle and family and helpful information on
the names of the 6 children. Excerpt from the email......I believe there were only six children. I know that Jewell and Jude were the same person and Mack and Artie McKinley were the same. I have seen
the 1880, 1900, and 1910 census for them. ( I haven't seen the 1890 census--so it may have more information). Also, Evert^8 was spelled "Evert" in
all census records except 1850 (when he was 2) where it was spelled Everet. (As a result of this last statement I have changed the name from
Everett/Enoch to Evert^8. -jvw
